Frankfurt / Bad Homburg (dpa) - The nationwide unique nationwide cooperation between Volksbank and Sparkasse has proven itself according to the assessment of the two Hessian partners.
"After a whole year of experience, the concern of damaging your own brand core is definitely unfounded," said the CEOs of Frankfurter Volksbank and Taunus Sparkasse, Eva Wunsch-Weber and Oliver Klink, when asked.
On December 19, 2019, Germany's second largest Volksbank and Sparkasse opened their first joint branch with a new design.
However, the corona pandemic is delaying the completion of the joint network: According to current planning, the two institutes want to put the 26th so-called financial point into operation in March 2021.
As recently as September, the partners expressed their confidence that they would be able to fully complete the expansion and renovation by the end of 2020 - a full year earlier than originally planned.
