While the security context is weakening eight days before the Central African election, the outgoing president held a meeting in Bangui.
For his part, the former head of state, François Bozizé, denied, via his spokesperson, his involvement in the movements of armed groups observed in the country.

Faustin-Archange Touadéra also wanted to send a message: "

He also mentioned receiving help from several foreign countries.

The Bozizé clan denies its involvement
For his part, the spokesperson for François Bozizé denied to RFI that he was the instigator of these movements of armed men, as the Minister of Communication Ange-Maxime Kazagui denounced this Saturday morning.
He in turn denounces accusations aimed at discrediting François Bozizé.

Despite the increasing calls for calm,
the situation remains tense
this Saturday evening in the Central African Republic, 8 days before the presidential election.
The concern revolves in particular around Mbaïki, a hundred kilometers southwest of Bangui.
The local deputy reported shooting during the day and says he is currently a refugee in Minusca with the prefect of the region.
Other disturbing movements are also reported in the east of the country, again on various axes leading to the capital.
