Families with children under the age of eight will be able to automatically receive New Year's benefits if they already received child benefits earlier in 2020.

This was reported by the Russian Pension Fund.

“In accordance with the presidential decree, the Russian Pension Fund will unconditionally transfer a one-time payment to parents, adoptive parents, guardians and trustees of children under seven years old inclusive, which will amount to 5,000 rubles for each child in the family.

The new payment will be received by all families with children who, as of December 17, 2020, have not yet turned 8 years old, ”the message says.

It is noted that payments will be made according to the principle of "social treasury" - there is no need to apply for them anywhere, since the FIU will issue and send funds based on the decisions on payments for children made in the spring and summer.

At the same time, those who this year did not apply for a monthly payment for children under three years old or a one-time payment for children from 3 to 16 years old, can apply on the portal of public services or in the client services of the Pension Fund until April 1, 2021.

“Parents must indicate in the application the details of the bank account to which the funds will be transferred.

There are more than three months for this - the corresponding applications are accepted until April 1.

An application will also be required if the parents who have already received payments for their children have closed their bank account, ”the FIU noted.

The Ministry of Labor also stressed that in the coming days off - December 19 and 20 - the branches of the Russian Pension Fund will work to receive applications for New Year's payments.

“Since the prime minister has instructed to organize the payment as soon as possible, on weekends the Pension Fund will work to receive applications from parents,” explained the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov.

On Friday, December 18, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers, during which the issue of supporting families with children was discussed.

According to the head of government, he signed two documents providing financing, procedure and conditions for one-time payments to families with children under eight years old.

“For each child, parents or guardians will receive five thousand rubles.

In total, we will allocate more than 73.5 billion rubles for such purposes.

Payments will be provided for all children of this age, and this is almost 15 million children, ”Mishustin said.

He noted that the day before the electronic application form was opened, at the moment their number exceeded 300 thousand. According to him, applications will be considered no more than five days, after which the funds will be transferred to the applicants within three working days.

Mikhail Mishustin also appealed to the heads of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov and the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov with a request to take the situation under his personal control.

“This work must be carried out accurately and smoothly - this is what people expect from us.

And, please, organize the work so that mothers and fathers, grandparents, and all guardians who bring up children are fully supported in providing payments.

Explain to them where to go, what to do.

I've just covered the whole algorithm, but it may not be enough.

Conduct an information campaign.

And if a person believes that funds were not transferred to him unreasonably or that there were some delays, deal with each case.

All children must receive this presidential payment, ”the Russian Prime Minister explained.

The 16th large press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin took place the day before.

Concluding his speech, the head of state announced an agreement with the government to make a gift to children, since New Year's events were canceled this year due to the pandemic.

“Before coming here, I consulted both the government and the presidential administration, and we agreed that the country, the state, we would also give our children a present - a small, modest one, but nevertheless.

All families with children under the age of seven will be paid 5,000 rubles each, ”the Russian president said.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov welcomed the decision of the head of state regarding the implementation of New Year's payments for families with children.

“Such a social decision of the president can only be welcomed.

This is an unexpected decision for families with children.

The funds they receive will at least be able to spend on the New Year's table, on gifts for children ... The vast majority of families will be happy to receive these funds, and they really need this support today, ”the parliamentarian said in an interview with RT.
