"On Christmas Eve I will take advantage of many offers for online church services and online sermons," said the CSU head of the "Augsburger Allgemeine".
Already at Easter he listened to several sermons on the Internet, "more than ever before," as Söder said.
“I found that incredibly enriching.
That is why I will attend more church services at Christmas than ever before. "
But he doesn't ask that of his family.
"Of course not everyone has to look at it."
Söder emphasized that this year a very special Christmas will be celebrated.
He appealed to focus on the important things.
It's not about the most expensive gifts or the most expensive food.
"Perhaps we could rather appreciate the community, family and health."
