Munich (dpa / lby) - The process of a bizarre poisoning in Tegernsee could come to an end today before the Munich II district court.

At the trial, the defense of the 49-year-old defendant is expected to speak, who allegedly killed her husband in 2018 and dug up his urn in the cemetery.

According to a court spokeswoman, the verdict could possibly fall on Friday.

The public prosecutor's office accuses the German nurse of killing her husband in the shared apartment in Tegernsee with insulin and morphine.

The alleged motive from the point of view of the prosecution: "The accused had decided that her husband, from whom she had benefited significantly financially for many years, was now no longer of any use to her."

The widow is said to have drilled open her husband's urn grave and took the urn with her to fill her pillow with parts of it. The prosecution demanded life imprisonment for the woman. In addition, the particular gravity of the guilt should be determined.
