Candidate Nomination Committee of the Minister of Public Transport held the 5th meeting this afternoon to discuss the selection of candidates, but could not reach a conclusion.

The recommendation committee decided to hold the meeting again at 2pm on the 28th.

Prior to the revision of the Airlifting Act, the opposition party's veto power was neutralized as only 5 out of 7 nominating committee members were able to vote for candidates.

In this situation, the People's Power side insisted that candidates should be postponed until the recruitment of the nominating committee due to vacancy.

At today's meeting, it is said that such arguments and refutation logic have come and gone.

In the end, the recommendation committee said that it had decided to hold the meeting again in that it respected the request for the recommendation of the opposition party's successor to the chairman of the National Assembly and made efforts to ensure that the nomination of candidates for the head of the airlift was made smoothly by agreement.

The Democratic Party said it would vote as scheduled today, saying that the resignation of the People's Power Recommendation Committee is only a delayed operation, but said it decided to comply with the decision of the recommendation committee considering the recruitment of the opposition party recommendation committee.

The recommendation committee also confirmed the resignation of candidate Han Myung-kwan in addition to the existing candidate Seok Dong-hyeon, and decided to allow additional nominations by the 23rd.
