The car was traveling south on the E4 but in a northbound lane.
In Torsboda, the car collided with the trailer of a truck.
- We and the ambulance staff have got the driver out of the car and he has been transported to hospital, says Henrik Cedergren, internal commander at the rescue service Medelpad.
The E4 was closed in both directions during the rescue and salvage work and traffic was diverted via Söråker past the accident site.
The condition of the driver of the car is still unknown.
