This aid must be paid before Christmas.

In three-quarters of the departments, it exceeds 1,000 euros.

Only the departments of Loire and Jura have so far not accepted the principle of a premium for home help professionals. 

Almost all of the departments have agreed to pay a "Covid bonus" to home help professionals, under an agreement with the State which finances half of this bonus, the minister delegate for 'Autonomy Brigitte Bourguignon.

According to a detailed map sent by the ministry, also including the overseas communities, this aid which must be paid before Christmas exceeds 1,000 euros in three-quarters of the departments and is below in twenty others.

Only the Loire and Jura departments have so far not accepted the principle of a premium.

This reward for front-line staff in the face of the coronavirus, announced by the government, home help professionals were initially excluded because its support fell exclusively to departmental councils.

80 million euros released in August 

In early August, Emmanuel Macron announced that the state had reached an agreement with the departments, releasing 80 million euros to help them finance this aid.

In July, only 19 departments out of 101 had agreed to pay this bonus.

They were 74 to have committed to this process in October.

This "demonstrates the interest of such a method of dialogue and responsibility in the conduct of solidarity policies," said Brigitte Bourguignon in a press release.
