Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Former world champion Felix Sturm does not want to make any victory predictions before his comeback in the boxing ring on Saturday in Hamburg.

"I don't want to make any announcements," said the 41-year-old from Cologne on Thursday.

His opponent is Timo Rost from Düsseldorf, who is twelve years his junior.

«He sees a good chance for himself.

But I want to be world champion for the sixth time, ”said Sturm, who won 40 of 49 professional fights.

Rost's battle balance is ten wins in twelve professional fights.

The duel in Hamburg's Universum Gym on Fischmarkt is not a title fight.

It is used to determine the location of the storm.

Both boxers have agreed on an upper weight limit of 77.5 kilograms.

The limit is between super middle and light heavyweight.

"All that matters is the result on Saturday," said Sturm, whose real name is Adnan Catic as the son of Bosnian parents.

The former super middleweight world champion, who has not been in the ring for almost five years, is aiming for a fight against the Berlin ex-world champion Arthur Abraham.

Storm's comeback also arouses interest after the boxer was sentenced to three years in prison in April of this year for tax evasion and doping.

He appealed against this.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.

His protégé had worn out seven sparring partners, said storm coach Maurice Weber.

"No matter how Timo boxed on Saturday, we have an answer," said the coach.

The event will be broadcast on the internet via the paid portal Bild Plus (beginning at 7.30 p.m.).
