The European Rugby Cup match scheduled for Saturday between La Rochelle and Bath is, in turn, canceled due to a case of Covid-19 in a Scarlets player, Bath's previous opponent, the organizer announced Thursday evening.

The player in question having been "in close contact with 12 players" from Bath, since placed in isolation, the English club is "not able to field a team of a sufficient level", explains the European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR).

On Wednesday, the Toulouse-Exeter and Glasgow-Lyon meetings had already been canceled for similar reasons.

The outcome of the match will be determined by a Match Results Resolution Committee.

Stade Rochelais should have won by forfeit (28-0), like Toulouse and Lyon, and thus take a step closer to the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, the EPCR did not mention a possible cancellation of the Scarlets' match, who received Toulon in Pool A on Friday, despite a player positive for Covid-19.
