The EU-European Union has announced that vaccination against the new coronavirus is expected to begin on the 27th of this month.

The EU drug regulator EMA = European Pharmaceutical Agency is in the process of permitting the use of a vaccine developed by Pfizer in the United States and Biontech in Germany, and recommends the permission to the EU as early as 21st of this month. It is a prospect.

In response, the European Commission, the EU's executive body, announced on the 17th that vaccination in member countries is expected to begin from 27th to 29th of this month.

When the European Commission receives a recommendation from the EMA, it will significantly shorten the procedure and issue a license, and the distribution of the vaccine to member countries will begin on the 26th.

Vaccines such as Pfizer have already begun to be given in the United Kingdom and the United States, and EU Chairman Von der Leyen posted on Twitter that "it's an important moment for Europe."

The EU has secured up to about 2 billion doses of six vaccines so far, and the US pharmaceutical company Moderna's vaccine is in the process of being licensed next month.
