17 December 2020 European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced that vaccinations against covid-19 will begin in the EU on 27 December.



 "On December 27, 28 and 29 vaccination will begin throughout the European Union," the President of the European Commission announced on Twitter.

The European Medicines Agency (Ema) could authorize the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine on December 21.
