Berlin (dpa / bb) - Another 30 people died in Berlin in connection with the corona pandemic.

In addition, there were 1473 new infections compared to the previous day.

This emerges from the health administration's report on Thursday.

An easing of the situation is still not in sight.

Since the pandemic began, 958 Berliners have died in connection with the Sars CoV-2 pathogen.

A total of 83,691 infections were recorded, 63,341 people are now considered to have recovered.

The Berlin corona warning traffic light continues to show red for two indicators: The occupancy of intensive care beds with Covid 19 patients rose again slightly to 29.8 percent.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days has also increased slightly to 199.3 and is thus still well above the warning value of 30.

The traffic light, on the other hand, shows the so-called reproduction number, which is 0.81, slightly below the value from the previous day.

However, significantly lower values would be needed to slow the corona pandemic.

According to the management report, 1476 Covid 19 patients are being treated in Berlin clinics, 373 of them in intensive care units.

These values have also increased slightly.
