Cottbus (dpa / bb) - Local emergency services in at least nine districts and cities in Brandenburg will receive a corona bonus in December, according to the Verdi union.
With the one-time tax-free corona special payment of 600 euros, the high workload during the corona pandemic should also be recognized, said negotiator Ralf Franke from the Verdi district of Cottbus on Wednesday.
In Potsdam, Cottbus, Brandenburg / Havel and Frankfurt (Oder) as well as in the districts of Elbe-Elster, Teltow-Fläming, Prignitz and Uckermark, the collective agreement of the public service and thus also a corona collective agreement with special payment apply, explained Franke.
The Oberspreewald-Lausitz district has concluded a collective agreement with individual operators of rescue stations.
In the other districts it is unclear whether there is also a special payment there.
The Free Voters failed in the state parliament on Tuesday with their demand to pay emergency services employees a corona bonus from state funds in January 2021.
The Federal Council decided in October that nurses in clinics with many corona patients receive a premium payment of up to 1000 euros.
Berlin decided on a special benefit for employees in care facilities up to this amount.
