He has 25 years of work experience in the fields of international cooperation, sustainable development, humanitarian coordination, and peace and security. Served in institutions and other international organizations, often publishing articles on humanitarian and development issues in the media and periodicals.

  Chang Qide is currently the United Nations Coordinator in Kenya. Prior to that, he served successively as UNDP and UNFPA representatives in Kenya, UNOPS Regional Representative in the Middle East and Europe, and Office Director of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq.

He has also held leadership positions in UNICEF offices in Indonesia, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan, and worked in the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
