December 16, 2020 "Every question that is asked is fine, it is right to ask political questions, to claim what you believe in, but then we stop there because in this moment so complicated and difficult for Italians we must always find a point of fall in national responsibility to keep the government and the majority going. The Italians want everything except extreme litigation, they want a vision of the future in which to believe and move forward ".

This was stated by the Speaker of the Chamber, Roberto Fico, during the ceremony for exchanging Christmas greetings with the Parliamentary Press, when he was asked about the questions posed to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte by the leader of IV, Matteo Renzi.

"Any question that is asked is fine: if you want to talk about the ESM, talk about it, the Task Force ok, but after that there must be nothing else".

The Italians, at this moment, explained Fico, want "concrete measures to move forward".

"We claim, we work but we always find a point of fall, in the responsibility that involves a difficult moment. Ask political questions but we stop there"

"In the event of a crisis, a narrow path that would lead to a vote"

The President of the Chamber, Roberto Fico, reiterates his idea that a possible government crisis would lead to early elections.

Asked during the exchange of Christmas greetings with the parliamentary press, he explained: "The prerogatives of the head of state are untouchable and then in Parliament anything can happen if a new majority is formed", but he recalled that in this legislature first with the M5s government -League and then with the current "all the schemes have been adopted for this reason a third way seems difficult to me. The path is very narrow and difficult and would lead to new elections".

Recovery?

"I know Conte, he respects the institutions"

Conte disrespects the institutions with the task force on the Recovey Fund?

"No, I don't think so because I know the respect of the President of the Council of all institutions. When there is a decision on the path, I will speak out publicly", said the Speaker of the House.

Christmas squeeze?

"Clear ideas as soon as possible"

"Clear lines and as soon as possible" on anti-Covid measures for the days of the Christmas holidays ", said Fico." I absolutely do not blame the Italians, the great results we have had are thanks to Italian citizens , it is better to use the personal responsibility of the citizen and then move towards other norms ", he added." The crowd on the street?

That crowd respected the yellow and orange areas ... Of course you have to be careful of the gatherings ", concluded Fico.
