  • Spain.The restrictions for Christmas: measures for travel, meetings and curfew in each community

The Governing Council of the Canary Islands has approved this Wednesday the

restriction of entrances and exits on the island of Tene

rife, except as established in art.

6 of the state of alarm decree of October 25, and Christmas lunches and dinners are reduced to six people, with a maximum of two cohabiting units.

This has been announced by the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, after an extraordinary Governing Council meeting in which a set of "tough" measures have been approved that will come into force next Friday at midnight on the island of Tenerife. and that will be valid for the next fifteen days.

All people who travel to the

Canary Islands

between December 18 and January 10, except those under 6 years of age, will have to present a

Covid-19 test

with a negative result carried out within 72 hours prior to arrival.

People who do not take the test before arrival will have to isolate themselves and have it done on the islands within 72 hours or, otherwise, remain isolated at their residence for 14 days.

The

Health Service

will assume the cost of diagnostic tests in the case of Canarian residents that are carried out in the subsidized centers.

In the rest, the cost will be assumed by the traveler, although in the concerted centers there will be "a special price".

Canary Islands restrictions for Christmas

The maximum number of people who may meet for meals or celebrations until January 10, 2021, except in the case of cohabitants, will be six including the days of the dates indicated, that is, the days 24, 25 and 31 of December 2020 and January 1 and 6, 2021. They may only belong to two family units.

Minors from 0 to 6 years old are excluded from the limitations.

The regional government recommends that they limit social interactions the 10 days prior to the trip and that they take extreme preventive measures upon arrival.

Once at home, it is recommended to respect your bubble of coexistence and interact especially outdoors.

The

curfew

in the

Canary Islands

will be from 01:00 to 06:00, from December 23 until January 10, except for the night of December 24 to 25 and the night of December 31, 2020 to January 1, 2021, when it will be extended at 01:30.

Tenerife's restrictions for Christmas

Entry and exit from the island is restricted, except for assistance to health and educational services.

, due to its epidemiological situation and the worsening of the contagion curve in recent weeks, has established the maximum allowed in meetings in four people, except cohabitants.

curfew is brought forward at 10 pm

and it is recommended to avoid travel between its municipalities.

Hospitality:

Outside, the terraces will be at 50% capacity.
