The British government has announced that more than 137,000 people have been vaccinated in a week for the new coronavirus vaccine developed by American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and others.



Inoculation has begun not only in well-equipped hospitals but also in local clinics, and the scale of inoculation is expected to gradually increase in the future.

In the UK, vaccinations for vaccines developed by Pfizer and the German company Biontech began on the 8th of this month.



The British government has released preliminary results, stating that 137,897 people were vaccinated between the 8th and the 15th.



Most of the vaccinated people are elderly people over 80 years old, long-term care workers working in facilities for the elderly, and medical staff.



This vaccine needs to be managed at a low temperature of around minus 70 degrees Celsius to be stored for a certain period of time, and inoculation was first done in a well-equipped hospital, but this week, a local clinic Vaccinations are also being given at some facilities for the elderly and the scale is gradually expanding.



Those who have been vaccinated will be given a second vaccination three weeks later.



In the UK, other vaccines being developed by British pharmaceutical giants AstraZeneca and Oxford University are under review and are increasingly expected to be approved by the end of the year.
