“They are going to transfer me to the Lefortovo SIZO.

They have already taken a swab for coronavirus, but I do not want to be sent there, ”he told RT special correspondent, a member of the Moscow POC Boris Klin, who visited a former policeman.

Zakharchenko claims, the human rights activist said, that he had previously spent more than three years in Lefortovo, repeatedly wrote statements about the alleged violations there, and believes that now being in this pre-trial detention center would pose a threat to him.

The ex-colonel, in an interview with members of the POC, also recalled that since March he has been denied a laparoscopic operation and asked for human rights ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova to intervene in this situation.

Earlier, Zakharchenko complained to the PMC about being transferred from pre-trial detention center No. 1 to a transit prison in Mordovia and back.

In the fall of 2019, the Moscow City Court reduced the 13-year term assigned to Dmitry Zakharchenko to 12.5 years.

Later, the Investigative Committee filed a new charge against Zakharchenko for two episodes of bribe taking totaling more than 1.5 billion rubles.
