Erfurt (dpa / th) - Again several deaths and hundreds of new infections in connection with the corona virus have been registered in Thuringia within one day.
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days rose by around 20 to 255, as indicated by information from the Robert Koch Institute (as of December 16, 12.00 a.m.) on Wednesday.
This means that Thuringia remains the federal state most severely affected by the pandemic after Saxony (seven-day incidence: 407).
A total of 792 new infections were detected from Tuesday to Wednesday.
The total number of cases registered in Thuringia since the beginning of the pandemic rose to 27,728. Of these, an estimated 18,430 cases are considered recovered.
The number of people who died in whom the Sars-CoV-2 virus had been detected rose by 24 to 563.
