Stockstadt / Main (dpa / lby) - A truck caught fire on federal highway 469 in Lower Franconia on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the incident near Stockstadt am Main (Aschaffenburg district), the fire department said.
The fire started in the area of the engine and spread to the interior of the container loaded with ready-made furniture.
A spokesman was initially unable to provide any information about the cause of the fire.
The B469 was closed for the fire fighting work and recovery of the vehicle until late afternoon.
According to the fire brigade, long traffic jams formed in both directions.
A fire department spokesman said the block to the south was lifted around 4:45 p.m.
In the north it will probably continue into the evening hours.
