"In total, the engineering units of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh have cleared more than 156 hectares of terrain, about 40 km of roads, 375 housing buildings and social facilities, found and neutralized about 5 thousand explosive objects," RIA Novosti quoted the defense ministry as saying.
It is noted that most often Russian military personnel encounter artillery shells, mortar mines, hand grenades and charges for hand grenade launchers during demining.
