The defense ministers of the two countries also held a video conference on December 15 to emphasize that the two militaries are willing to strengthen pragmatic cooperation on this basis and further enrich the connotation of bilateral relations.

  China and Russia signed the "Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Russian Federation on Mutual Notification of Launching Ballistic Missiles and Space Launch Vehicles" on October 13, 2009. The "Agreement" will expire on December 16, 2020.

According to the "Protocol" signed by the two parties, the "Agreement" is extended for 10 years and will take effect on December 15, 2020.
