Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The Hessian accommodation providers also recorded significant losses in October due to the corona pandemic.

The State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday in Wiesbaden that 56 percent fewer guests and 45 percent fewer overnight stays were registered compared to the same period last year.

49 percent fewer domestic guests stayed in the country overnight.

The foreign demand for overnight stays has even slumped by three quarters.

According to statisticians, a total of 629,200 guests and around 1.79 million overnight stays were counted in the hotels, inns and guest houses in Hesse in October.
