The Social Resources Board has commissioned an external audit of the auditing firm KPMG, which states, among other things, that there is a difference of half a million between the study association's internal accounting and the information to the Swedish Tax Agency.

- We have an evaluation of what has also been proven by our audit firm.

That's not true.

This is partly due to the fact that accounts have been booked for different periods and that we divide staff between our seven units, says Alve Högman.

"Based on titles"

In the second part of the investigation, which was carried out by officials in social resource management, the study association is criticized for having courses that seem to be religious practice, which is not allowed.

- We have also started from titles, we have never asked for our study plans where it is clear that this is not about practicing religion.

The question has not been asked and that is our general criticism, says Alve Högman.

The number of circle leaders exceeds the number of study circles is due to the fact that the investigators requested information for the municipality of Gothenburg only regarding the number of study circles.

But the circle leaders are scattered throughout the region.

"Embarrassing"

The information about incorrect purchases of a computer and other capital goods is also rejected.

- We can buy capital goods to be used in public education, but we are the ones who own them and the association needs to return them when the course is completed.

Alve Högman thinks that it is both legally uncertain and embarrassing that the city has paid almost SEK 300,000 for this review.

- We share the City of Gothenburg's vision of where we are headed but are extremely concerned about the methods that the City of Gothenburg now uses.

That there is a basis for such major shortcomings and where a democratic decision must be made.

Tomorrow, the social resources committee in Gothenburg is expected to make a decision on whether Ibn Rushd's western district will receive a grant from the municipality.
