September 22, 2019 Iran has decided to release the British tanker 'Stena Impero', hijacked on July 19 in a back-and-forth that had seen, earlier that month, the seizure of a Tehran oil tanker in the Strait of Gibraltar.

The "Stena Impero" is now waiting to leave the Islamic Republic, reported the port authorities of Hormozgan, to head towards "international waters".

The Iranian oil tanker, suspected of violating the oil embargo on Syria, was in turn released on 18 August.
