- The decision is quite expected.

But at the same time, we in the student committee are disappointed.

Of course, we want it to be as positive a message as possible, says Ejvind Andersson, vice chairman of the student committee at Wisbygymnasiet.

Not compatible with advice

It was in May last year that the Swedish Transport Agency introduced temporary rules.

"Then as now it happened because celebrations with student flats are not compatible with the Public Health Agency's general advice to counteract the spread of covid-19 in society," the agency writes on its website.

The temporary ban is now extended until June 30 next year.

- We are extending the regulation for six months, but we can repeal it earlier or extend it further if the situation changes, says Kristofer Elo, investigator at the Swedish Transport Agency.
