Konstanz (dpa / lsw) - The city of Konstanz has banned a "lateral thinker" demonstration planned for December 20.

The initiative made it clear that it was not ready to meet corona requirements such as distance and hygiene rules, a city spokesman announced on Monday.

900 participants were registered for the rally.

The Constance police have also spoken out in favor of a ban.

The initiative last held a major demonstration against the Corona measures in Constance at the beginning of October.

Thousands of people came to Lake Constance for the demo weekend.

He couldn't understand the city's ban, said organizer Gerry Mayr from the “lateral thinking” group “Bürgerdialog-Konstanz eV”.

"We are citizens, we have basic rights, and we would like to use them," said the Konstanz entrepreneur.

It is not true that he was not ready to compromise.

Mayr announced that he wanted to take action against the decision.

The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution announced last week that the "lateral thinking" movement was under observation.

There are "sufficiently weighty indications for an extremist endeavor".

The group has been taking to the streets against the state corona restrictions for months.
