The Singaporean government has announced that it has approved a vaccine for the new coronavirus developed by Pfizer, a major American pharmaceutical company, as a vaccine for domestic use.

Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made a television speech on the 14th, revealing that he has signed contracts to purchase the new coronavirus vaccine with multiple pharmaceutical companies such as the United States.



In addition, it was revealed that the vaccine developed by Pfizer and the German company Biontech was approved as a vaccine for the new coronavirus used in Japan.



The vaccine developed by Pfizer and others will arrive by the end of this month, and will be given free of charge from next month except for pregnant women under the age of 16.



Vaccines are to be given priority to healthcare professionals and the elderly, and government officials say, "We can secure the required number of people."
