Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The companies affected by the Corona partial lockdown in November can expect a higher down payment from the federal aid.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Economics Minister Harry Glawe (CDU) announced in Schwerin on Monday that the discount would rise from 10,000 euros to 50,000 euros.

The federal government is thus meeting a demand from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to improve the companies' liquidity.

According to the information, the higher discount applies to companies with applications over 20,000 euros.

According to Glawe, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania demanded an increase in the cover for payments on account from 10,000 euros to up to 500,000 euros.

The accommodation industry in MV is affected by the partial lockdown.

Tourism is one of the most important industries in the country.

As it was said, the federal government is currently preparing the application process for December aid.

"With the December aid, grants of up to 75 percent of the turnover from December 2019 are granted pro rata for the number of days of the closure in December 2020," explained the minister.
