The men of the Air Wing Department of the Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued two people with European citizenship, who suffered some injuries during a mountain trip in the “Shaha area” in Ras Al Khaimah, while they were practicing climbing heights and peaks and exploring the mountain ranges in the emirate.

The head of the Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Colonel Pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, said that the Ras Al Khaimah Police Operations Room had received a report stating that there were (European) tourists stranded in the “Shaha region”, after they sustained some injuries while practicing mountaineering.

He added that one of the helicopters belonging to the Air Wing Department was immediately moved to the Al-Balagh site, the mountainous area was surveyed, the tourists were found, all necessary first aid was provided to them, and they were transferred to the hospital to complete treatment and ensure their safety and stability of their health.

Al-Yamahi called on tourists, visitors and all members of the community to take caution and caution when practicing the hobby of mountain climbing, adhere to the walking route in rugged areas and avoid incursion into steep hills, in order to preserve the safety of their lives from being exposed to the risk of injuries or slips due to the severity of the region.
