Volunteer but feverish Nantes residents could not do better than 1-1 against the catchy Dijonnais for their first match without Christian Gourcuff on Sunday at the Beaujoire stadium.

The result does not suit anyone: Nantes remains 14th three points behind the barrage while Dijon, which nevertheless records its third game without defeat, is still a red lantern.

Not enough to calm the 250 to 300 Nantes supporters who had expressed their fed up with the management of President Waldemar Kita at midday, exchanging smoke for tear gas with the CRS responsible for not letting them approach the stadium.

With a team strongly reshaped by Patrick Collot, the deputy in charge of the interim after the dismissal of Gourcuff on Tuesday, the Nantes people showed much more energy than in their last matches, but they let too much fly away. opportunities against the people of Dijon who have never stopped believing in it.

Finished the 4-4-2, replaced by a 4-3-3 with Andrei Girotto in sentry while Jean-Charles Castelletto takes his place in the central hinge with captain Nicolas Pallois.

Ludovic Blas entered at the end of the match just like Randal Kolo Muani, revelation of this season, replaced by Renaud Emond at the forefront of the attack.

Even if he missed several chances, the Belgian was at the origin of the opening of the scoring: thrown deep on the right, he sank into the surface before being mowed down by Jonathan Panzo.

Moses Simon, also regaining form, was responsible for transforming the penalty with a shot flush with the right post (1-0, 24 ').

Nantes could even have obtained a second penalty for a hand from Panzo (31st) but neither referee Antony Gautier nor those of the VAR found fault with it.

Feverish, the Canaries did not know how to take advantage of their opportunities and saw Dijon close to equalizing on a strike from Frédéric Sammaritano, pushed back on the line by a Fabio in the big gap while goalkeeper Alban Lafont was beaten (40th).

Under the wind and the drizzle, the Dijonnais finally returned to the score at the start of the second half: perfectly launched by Didier Ndong, Moussa Konaté got rid of Pallois before taking his time to deceive Lafont (54th, 1-1).

Without a good stop from Lafont against Sammaritano, Dijon would have even taken the advantage from the throw-in (56th).

But the score has not changed despite a plethora of opportunities on both sides: a strike from Kolo Muani just above (68th), an excellent return from Fabio on Konaté once again launched alone (72nd) or another strike from Simon pushed back with the tip of the glove by Racioppi (78th).
