Columbus (AP) - Columbus Crew has won the Major League Soccer (MLS) championship for the second time.

Coach Caleb Porter's team prevailed 3-0 (2-0) in the MLS Cup final against defending champion Seattle Sounders.

The Argentinian Lucas Zelarayan advanced to the decisive player with two goals and one assist at his home Mapfre Stadium in front of 1500 spectators.

Zelarayan took the lead with a direct decrease (25th), shortly afterwards put Derrick Etienne Jr.'s goal in (31st) and sealed the success in the final phase, in the middle of a pressure phase in Seattle, with a remarkable shot into the corner ( 82.).

In the weekday semi-finals against Minnesota United, the Sounders had turned a 2-0 deficit in the final quarter of an hour.

But in the final, among others, Jordan Morris hit the bar after a free kick with his head (80th).

So Seattle never came back and Columbus Crew won the football championship in the North American professional league for the second time since 2008.
