Munich (AP) - title favorites Bayern Munich and ratiopharm Ulm remain undefeated in the basketball Bundesliga.

While the Munich team won their game against the Gießen 46ers on the 6th matchday with 93:71 (51:31), the Ulm team achieved a narrow 73:69 (38:40) victory at the Hamburg Towers, which were also undefeated up until then.

The reigning champion Alba Berlin prevailed against the former series champion Brose Bamberg with 82:70 (41:31) and is 5-1 victories.

Bayern gave the guests from Gießen no chance from the start.

Already in the first quarter the Euroleague participant gained a ten-point lead, with a lead of 20 points at halftime the game had already been decided in favor of the team of coach Andrea Trinchieri.

"My players were very serious and showed a good defense at the beginning," said Trinchieri after the game.

"We took the game and our opponents very seriously."

The outstanding man in Munich was newcomer Jalen Reynolds with a strong 24 points in just 14 minutes.

In Hamburg a much more balanced game developed, in which Eurocup participants Ulm ultimately got the upper hand.

Center Dylan Osetkowski (17) was once again the most accurate player among the guests.

Oldenburg legend Rickey Paulding achieved a new career record with 36 points on Saturday evening, but the 38-year-old forward was unable to prevent his EWE Baskets from losing 80:94 (32:39) to Hakro Merlins Crailsheim.

"I would have preferred a victory today than my personal record," said Paulding at "Magentasport".

It was only in November that the fan favorite was the second player in BBL history to break the 7000 mark.
