Patient zero, from whom the spread of coronavirus infection began in Russia, was identified on March 1.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova told about this in an interview for Naili Asker-zade's film "Dangerous Virus.

First Year ”on the TV channel“ Russia-1 ”.

She clarified that the very first cases of infection on Russian territory were three imported from China, but then it was possible to prevent the spread of the disease.

“He appeared with us literally on March 1, and by March 17 we already had our hundredth case.

We are now talking about who has already spread the infection, ”explained the head of the department.

Popova said that when China figured out the properties of COVID-19, it became obvious that it was necessary to "deploy all measures."

“In the 20th of January, we reported with Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova, the Minister of Health, to the President of the Russian Federation.

It became clear that this was not just an ordinary seasonal new virus.

What a virus with pandemic potential, ”she said.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, in an interview, spoke about the risks for patients with chronic non-infectious diseases who have had coronavirus.

The minister drew attention to the fact that such patients may face severe damage to the lung tissue and, after recovery, need medical supervision.

“In general, patients with chronic non-communicable diseases, especially those receiving long-term drug therapy, require the supervision of medical personnel and the supportive therapy they received.

Perhaps, in a number of situations, adjustment of therapy is required.

During the rehabilitation period, we see that it is precisely the correction of blood properties that is an important stage in maintenance therapy, ”he explained.

At the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in an interview with Naili Asker-zadeh spoke about restrictive measures due to COVID-19 in the capital.

He explained that it is not planned to introduce a curfew in the city on New Year's holidays, as well as to limit the sale of alcohol.

The mayor noted that in the world there is "a rich experience of introducing dry laws", and as a rule, they led to "general drunkenness", in connection with which the metropolitan authorities do not see the point in such measures.

In addition, the mayor said that Moscow hotels, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic, are about 50% full.

He added that there are practically no foreign tourists in the capital today.

The decision to tighten restrictions in Moscow will only be made if the city's medical system ceases to cope with the flow of patients with coronavirus, Sobyanin said.

At the moment, there is no such problem in the capital, the mayor said.

“In the spring, medical technologies were not developed, a population that was not immunized at all fell under the epidemic, there were no patients.

Now we have created backup hospitals, powerful, sufficient stocks, personal protective equipment, medicines, currently these restrictive measures are enough to control the situation, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.
