December 12, 2020 "The Supreme Court has really disappointed us. No wisdom, no courage!".

Thus US President Donald Trump on Twitter, commenting on the rejection by the highest federal judicial body of a desperate attempt to reverse the November 3 presidential result and block the election of Joe Biden.

The Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed by the State of Texas and supported by Trump and a large group of elected Republicans, in which the results of the presidential elections in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin were contested, motivating the lengthening of the times of the postal vote.

"The Supreme Court of the United States rightly dismissed the fake lawsuit of the Republicans to overturn the will of millions of American voters."

The President of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, writes on social media.

For Pelosi, "the 126 republican deputies who signed this illegal and undemocratic cause have brought dishonor to the Chamber".

The Supreme Court verdict effectively nullifies Trump's chances of overturning the ballot verdict in his favor.

Democrat Joe Biden will take office on January 20.

The highest judicial body in the United States, with a sentence of just one page, argues that the way in which other states conduct the electoral process falls outside the jurisdiction of Texas and therefore there is no legal basis for the appeal.

In the Lone Star State's petition filed last Tuesday, with the support of Trump and over 100 Republican lawmakers, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were denounced for extending the terms of the vote by mail.

The four states asked the Supreme Court to dismiss the appeal and their request was granted.

The Supreme Court really let us down.

No Wisdom, No Courage!
