According to the parliamentarian, the ex-diplomat forgot that "weapons are not an argument in a conversation with Russia."

“The storming of Crimea will be a disaster for Ukraine.

Today, aggressive rhetoric is in the trend of the Ukrainian establishment, and this is a road to nowhere, ”he explained.

The deputy stressed that Crimea cannot be taken "neither by storm, nor ideology," therefore, as Balbek added, Bessmertny should not make such statements for the sake of self-promotion.

Earlier, the former representative of Ukraine in the negotiations on Donbass, the country's ex-ambassador to Belarus, Roman Bessmertny, proposed to conduct a military operation to seize Crimea.

According to him, first, the Ukrainian authorities need to resettle everyone "who is loyal" from the peninsula, and then "solve this problem by building an army, a defense complex and planning military operations."

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
