Unlimited debate at the National Assembly The Phillybuster was temporarily suspended due to'corona variable' and resumed a while ago.

There is a conflict over the revision of the National Intelligence Service Act, and it seems that it will be decided by a vote confrontation only if the filibuster continues or not.

This is reporter Jeong-hyeon on the press.

<Reporter> The

filibuster that was once stopped when it became known that Democratic Party Rep. Kim Byung-ki, who applied for an unlimited discussion, had contacted a corona patient.

Rep. Kim received a negative decision and resumed after 16 hours, but this time the Democratic Party issued a request to the National Assembly to terminate the filibuster a little while ago.

The cause of the Democratic Party is that the National Assembly, which must take care of people's livelihood and quarantine, cannot be caught by a filibuster.

According to the National Assembly Act, 24 hours after the start of the filibuster, a request for termination can be made with the consent of one-third of the current members, and 24 hours later, the final decision is made by anonymous vote.

Accordingly, the vote will be held at around 8 pm tomorrow (13th).

180 seats are required for compulsory termination, and the 173-seat Democratic Party is calculated to approve by adding 3 seats for the passport-oriented Open Democratic Party and 4 seats for independent lawmakers, and Yong Hye-in Yong, the Basic Income Party.

However, as it is a bearer ballot, it is a variable that the departure vote cannot be completely excluded.

The Justice Party is in the opposite position.

If a forced termination is decided, it is likely that the amendment to the NIS law will be processed soon after.

The law on the ban on spreading leaflets to North Korea is also expected to follow this procedure.

Prior to this, Rep. Yoon Hee-sook, the power of the people, who had been in the filibuster until this morning, set the record for the longest in Korea by conducting discussions for 12 hours and 47 minutes, which exceeded the previous record for 16 minutes.

[Yoon Hee-suk/Representative Power of the People: In one word, the laws that have been passed are like the'Shut Up Law'.

It feels like the state tells individuals to'shut up'.] While the

people's power is called the'Iron Woman', the Democratic Party devalued, saying, "I caricatured the filibuster while reading someone else's book."
