UAE sends a seventh medical aid plane to Sudan to support it in combating 'Covid-19'

Yesterday, the UAE sent an aid plane containing 14 tons of medical supplies and testing equipment to Sudan, to support it in curbing the spread of the new Corona virus, and more than 14,000 health care workers will benefit from it, to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of "Covid-" 19 ».

The UAE ambassador to Sudan, Hamad Muhammad Hamid Al-Junaibi, said: “Sudan is one of the first countries to receive aid sent by the UAE as part of its efforts to combat the emerging corona virus, as it sent its first shipment of aid and medical supplies last April, and continued sending medical aid. During the past nine months, it reached a total of 230 tons to date, of which 130 tons were provided by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.

He added that “continuing to operate the air bridge of the Emirati medical aid to Sudan confirms the strong and distinguished relations between the two countries, and the UAE’s keenness to continue support for the health sector in Sudan, and to strengthen government plans, by providing direct support to medical workers, including doctors, nurses and devices Technical in the face of the pandemic ».
