Ronneby municipality today activated its crisis management committee to be able to make quick decisions to support, above all, the business and association life that is hard hit during the pandemic.

Decisions that would normally have taken several months to make.

- We have a strained situation.

Above all, we notice it in business and associations, says the municipal board chairman Roger Fredriksson (M) in Ronneby.

The Crisis Management Board has made a number of decisions during a meeting on Friday afternoon.

- We have decided not to charge any fees for the inspections we do, this applies to food inspection, among other things.

It is a cost for many small business owners.

Corona safe at stores

The municipality has also decided that it will be allowed to have outdoor cafes running throughout the next year.

They are also opening up for shops to be able to display tables outside the shops to reduce congestion indoors.

- We are positive that traders use the area outside their business premises, to make it as corona safe as possible, says Roger Fredriksson (M).

However, you must apply for a police permit for this.

So there will be a little Christmas market and Tosia Bonnadan all year round then?

- Yes, we open up for that possibility.

I can imagine that smaller premises really benefit from that opportunity.

The municipality is also adding a new association million, which means that associations that have been hit hard financially during the pandemic can apply for support.
