Berlin (dpa / bb) - The Berlin Greens are electing their top candidate for the House of Representatives election next year at a party conference this Saturday.
The state executive has nominated the MP and former party leader Bettina Jarasch, who will give a speech before the ballot.
Because of the corona pandemic, the party conference is taking place online.
The Greens rule in Berlin together with the SPD and the Left.
According to surveys, they have a chance of becoming the strongest party for the first time in 2021.
Jarasch could therefore succeed Michael Müller (SPD) as governing mayor.
