A seven-year-old boy has died and his two brothers, aged three and nine, and his mother have been seriously injured in a fire registered this Thursday on the fourth floor of a building on
Avenida de la Malvarrosa in Valencia.
Firefighters rescued them from the landing of their house after their home caught fire, according to sources from the Local Police and the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).
The SAMU medical services transferred the woman, in her 30s, to the Major Burns Unit of Hospital La Fe in Valencia.
And her three children, all boys, ages 3, 7 and 9.
Finally one of the children died.
According to the CICU,
all four had smoke poisoning and burns.
The medical teams have had to practice recovery and stabilization maneuvers.
Three other people have been treated by medical teams displaced to the area, all of them discharged in situ, according to the CICU.
The fire broke out at around 7.15pm in an address located on the fourth floor of number 77 Avenida de la Malvarrosa.
Municipal firefighters with five crews and an ambulance have traveled to the site.
For its part, the Emergency Information and Coordination Center has mobilized four SAMU units and two SVB units.
According to sources from the Local Police, firefighters have taken a mother and three children out of the building.
According to the CICU, the other three affected are
two men aged 26 and 28 treated for burns, and a young woman of 18 treated for an anxiety crisis.
All of them have been discharged in the same place of care.
The firefighters have evicted the house, while the rest of the residents have been
confined to their homes
while the fire extinguishing tasks continued.
