Berlin (dpa) - One month after moving from Tegel to BER, Lufthansa is giving the new capital city airport a good report.

The move went according to plan, the processes at the new airport worked well, the company announced on Thursday and spoke of a good start.

The company also mentioned that the volume of traffic is currently low.

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group currently offer around 38 percent of all flights from Willy Brandt Airport, almost half of which are on Eurowings.

In addition to the main brand Lufthansa, the group airlines Austrian, Swiss, Brussels and Eurowings are also at the start at BER, and Air Dolomiti next year.

After many problems in the construction phase, the new airport was opened on October 31st with a delay of several years, until November 7th the Lufthansa Group moved. After the Corona crisis, they want to expand the offer from Berlin as soon as possible, said board member Harry Hohmeister.
