Sinsheim (dpa / lsw) - TSG Hoffenheim can go into the last preliminary round game of the Europa League.
The Bundesliga soccer team from Kraichgau is already the group winner before the game against KAA Gent on Thursday (9 p.m. / DAZN and Nitro) in Sinsheim.
The draw for the first knockout round is on December 14th.
"We take the game very seriously and want to end the group stage with a win," said coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
Hoffenheim won the first leg in Belgium 4-1.
Above all, Hoeneß wants to give match practice to those professionals who were absent for a longer period due to a positive corona test in November.
The 35-year-old Philipp Pentke is allowed to represent regular goalkeeper Oliver Baumann, who is spared for the Bundesliga final spurt in 2020.
