Leipzig (dpa) - In the Bundesliga handball players of the SC DHfK Leipzig, highs and lows are currently alternating in quick succession.

Against HSG Wetzlar, the team of trainer André Haber presented itself from its best side on Thursday evening and made amends for the heavy 22:30 defeat last Saturday in Erlangen with a safe 32:28 (17:12) home win.

The best thrower of the playful Leipziger was international Philipp Weber with seven goals.

In the table, SC DHfK overtook Wetzlar (12:12) with 13: 9 points.

Decisive for the second home win in a row and a total of fifth success in the eleventh game of the season was a furious interim sprint in the first half when the Leipzigers turned an 8: 9 deficit into a 17:10 lead.

After that, the Haber protégés were never in danger again.

With a few negligence in the final phase, however, they allowed the guests a little cosmetic results.
