Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Saxony-Anhalt's Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) presents the new Saxony-Anhalt monitor in Magdeburg.
For the study, researchers regularly question Saxony-Anhalters about their ties to the state, about their satisfaction with democracy and their political attitudes.
Haseloff presented the results of the new study today together with Education Minister Marco Tullner (CDU) and political scientist Everhard Holtmann from the University of Halle.
Two years ago, the Saxony-Anhalt Monitor showed that almost all of Saxony-Anhalt's people are committed to the idea of democracy (90 percent), but have little confidence in politicians.
Almost two-thirds of those surveyed felt that politicians largely ignore popular opinion.
The University of Halle is preparing the study on behalf of the State Center for Political Education.
