Frankfurt volleyball players and net hoppers in the cup final

Friedrichshafen / Potsdam (dpa) - The United Volleys Frankfurt and the Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee have reached the final of the German Volleyball Cup.

The Frankfurters surprisingly defeated record winner VfB Friedrichshafen on Thursday evening in an exhausting match with 3: 2 (25:23, 25:27, 25:21, 15:25, 16:14) and want to succeed the Berlin Volleys as cup winners.

In the second semi-final, the Netzhoppers even turned a 0: 2 set deficit against TSV Herrsching and in the end won an insane duel with 3: 2 (21:25, 26:28, 25:16, 25:22, 26:24) .

The final is to take place on February 28th in Mannheim's SAP Arena.

Then SSC Palmberg Schwerin and SC Potsdam will also fight for the title among women.
