At the Paris court,

He said he would only say one sentence.

And then finally, at the time of releasing the last words, Nicolas Sarkozy said five.

“This affair has been a way of the cross for me.

But if that was the price to pay for the truth to come along, I'm ready to accept it.

I have told you the truth during these three weeks.

As I said in custody.

I still have confidence in the justice of our country ”.

Christine Mée, the president of the 32nd chamber of the Paris judicial tribunal, closed the proceedings of the so-called “Paul Bismuth tapping” trial this Thursday shortly after 8 p.m., after giving the three defendants the opportunity to speak one last time.

She said the decision would be made on Monday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m.

After “Bismuth”, the “Bygmalion” folder

All Thursday afternoon, the lawyers for magistrate Gilbert Azibert and Thierry Herzog took the stand to demand the release of all the defendants in this case of "corruption" and "influence peddling" .

After citing all the investigative acts carried out in the space of six years, the tenor Hervé Témime explained that there was “nothing!

Nothing !

Nothing !

Nothing !

Not a proof.

"

#Sarkozy #Bismuth: Thierry Herzog: I have nothing to add to what has been completely said by my lawyers.

I would simply like to say to all the lawyers sitting on the benches of the defense, the most word of the French language: Thank you

In this case, the prosecution believes that Nicolas Sarkozy has entered into a corruption pact with the magistrate Gilbert Azibert.

The latter would have given him information covered by secrecy on the Bettencourt affair in exchange for a helping hand to obtain a position in Monaco.

During requisitions, the two prosecutors of the national financial prosecutor's office called for four-year prison sentences, two of which were suspended against all the defendants, including the former head of state.

It will therefore have to wait a little more than two months before being fixed.

Whatever the decision, he has not finished with justice since he has an appointment in front of the same court from March 17 to appear in the Bygmalion case.
