Leverkusen (AP) - Bayer Leverkusen's coach Peter Bosz can possibly fall back on his two goal scorers Patrik Schick and Lucas Alario in the final group game of the Europa League on Thursday against Slavia Prague (6:55 p.m. / DAZN).

Initially, the Czech newcomer Schick had missed seven competitive games due to a hamstring, and immediately after his return, Alario, who was successful with ten competitive goals, was missing for three games.

"Lucas will train with me today, and then we'll see if it works tomorrow," said Bosz on Wednesday.

The duo wouldn't appear at the same time.

That both are available, however, would be particularly important because of the distribution of the load.

With Schick there is “still a risk”, explained Bosz, “that's why we always take him down earlier if we can”.

But Alario is nominally the only other center forward in the squad.

With a win on Thursday against the Czech champions with the same number of points, Bayer would secure group victory.

Bosz absolutely wants it, “for the draw and for the good feeling”.

A single goal is enough for Bayer to set a preliminary round record for a Bundesliga club in the Europa League.

Werder Bremen (2009/10) and Eintracht Frankfurt (2018/19), like Leverkusen, had scored 17 goals in the group stage so far.
