No need to store at -70 degrees

Biontec and Pfizer are developing a new version of the Corona vaccine

The Corona vaccine, developed by the German companies Biontec and the American company Pfizer, is expected to be available in the future without the current necessity to store it at a temperature of 70 degrees below zero.

During a press conference at the International Federation of Medicines based in Geneva, Pfizer President Albert Burla said today, Tuesday: "We are working on developing a version in order to avoid the temperature of 70 degrees below zero."

At the same time, Burla said that the low temperature required at the present time is not a problem, noting that engineers have developed boxes that made it possible to transport the vaccine without cooling from the outside.

Burla added that data on whether the vaccine not only protects against Covid-19 disease, but also prevents infection, will be released early next year.

It should be noted that Britain is the first country in the world to issue an emergency approval on the second of December to use the two companies' vaccines across the country, and the UK vaccination campaign was launched today, which is the largest campaign of its kind in the history of the United Kingdom.

Requests are submitted in the European Union, the United States and other countries to obtain permission to use this vaccine and other companies' vaccines.

According to Burla's statements, Pfizer and Biontec intend to produce 50 million doses of this vaccine this year and 1.3 billion doses of it next year, and it is not possible to produce a larger quantity due to the shortage of production facilities.
